The Year Zero: Film shoot at Brookhouse, Eccles: On a glorious Sunday the cast and crew of Salford's latest film gathered at the Brookhouse Community Centre in Eccles to shoot scenes for their sci-fi action flick The Year Zero. Appearing in this film to explain their roles, and how they got involved, were: writer and producer Robert Wakefield, actors Susan Beswick, Duncan Gill and Ruth Seddon, Lauren Eddowes, Gemma-Louise Bridge and Roxanne Gray, director Diane Brown and camera operator Sam Brookfield. East Salford Community Directory - The unveilling of the Mapping exercise of the community groups of East Salford is almost complete. In this directory you will discover over 60 groups that run activities for themselves and others in East Salford. Within this directory which as been created by local volunteers with help from East Salford's Health Improvement team you will discover a variety of groups. Some groups just for women, some just for teenagers. Groups for people who want exercise, groups for people who want to learn new skills,groups for older residents of East Salford.
All these groups have shared information on what they do because they believe that if you join them, whether it be in making pots, learning yoga or sharing stories you will make new friends, learn new things and have fun.
