Salford Reds Running in Memory of Leon

Salford City Reds coaches and physios are helping to raise awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) by participating in the Bupa Great Yorkshire Run in September.
Every week 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions, so the 11-strong team from Salford City Reds RLFC, led by Head Physio Chris Holmes and Academy Physio, Katy McDonnell are running in aid of CRY, following the death of rugby league player Leon Walker earlier this year....

Barrow Street Community Centre.

Barrow street community centre. This community centre is based as part of St Philips School and offers a range of sessions for anyone to participate in. Open to all residents regardless of school. On Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm there is an NVQ in learning support. On Thursdays 1:30pm - 3:00pm there is a B Tec course run by Pendleton College. On Fridays 10:00am - 12:00pm there is a stay and play session.

Salix Homes and the NDC are pleased to announce that we will be holding weekly drop - in sessions
EVERY TUESDAY 12 until 2pm @ St.Sebastians Community Centre, Douglas Green, Charlestown
These drop - ins will give you the opportunity to meet officers from:

* Skills and Work Solutions

and a variety of other agencies that can provide you with help and advice on issues that may be affecting you.

In the Land of the Black Pudding

In the Land of the Black Pudding is a three part documentary for the Internet. It's about United FC at the end of the season and some of the culture that surrounds it. Community Reporter Colin Blaney takes us on a journey up North away from the old Reds into the Land of United FC who split away from Manchester United with it was taken over by David Glazer. This games sees United FC playing for a chance to go up a league.

Albert's of Salford Senior youth club

The club runs in Albert park changing rooms, (next to the all weather pitch) and is especially suitable for over 14-25. Usually a mixture of activities are offered from sports coaching, to access to a games room that includes playstations, pool and table tennis tables, and laptops with internet access. Employed staff run the session.
The club runs on a Friday 6.00pm to 9.00pm

Lower Kersal Young Peoples Group (Drama Workshops)

Drama at the LKYP. About 10 Local teenagers aged between 13-19 meet to enjoy some shared activities. On a Tusday it is drama rehearsals and preperation for filming. The group meets at St Aidens Church on Littleton Road from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
