Salford LIDS

Salford LIDS ( Local Initiatives Diverse Skills) a community group based in Ordsall,  is currently working on an Online Radio project. A lot of their radio work is currently hosted on this website, and this will build up over the next few months. The project has a rich history (dating back to 1999) but the radio project is the main focus of current activity.

Jane and Mike from Salford Lids were involved in recording interviews at the 'Re-tracing Salford' exhibitions since 2006, and details can be found on that project's website: http://www.retracingsalford.com/

Some of that material will also be made available here.

If you want to find out more about the projects then there are numerous bits available for you to browse, all over the Blogoverse.

The Big Chin Rub!

big chin rub

Contour Housing are planning to involve different groups across the country in one big philosophical conversation, and we will all be talking about the same subject! The question is top secret at the moment, but will be revealed to facilitators on the first day of the Big Chin Rub festival on 12th July.

You can register your interest by emailing the team with your name and details of your group, school or
organisation  and we will send you out a pack with everything you will
need to make your Big Chin Rub a huge success!

The festival takes place 12-16th July 2010 so you can hold your event any time during this week. They will be asking all groups to post their final thoughts, ideas and conclusions back here on this website.
We’ve also got a film crew covering some of the events so if youre interested you could be lucky enough to be chosen to be on the BIG CHIN RUB film!
