Black and Gold Radio and School Reporters

Welcome to The Albion Specialist Maths and Computing College's community website. Albion Radio is a project aimed at providing Albion staff and pupils with a forum for communication and to help promote the work and abundant talent of our staff and students.

Launched in April 2009, Albion Radio has now produced 5 shows. Each show has given staff and pupils the opportunity to  perform and promote various aspects of life anf learning at The Albion  Maths and Computing College.

This website has been developed and produced by Year 8, 9 and 10 pupils in conjunction with a number of media professionals based at The Innovation Forum in East Salford.

In July 2009 the school organised a Love to Learn week which celebrated the cultural diversity of our community. Pupils and staff worked on fun, creative and practical projects across the curriculum and some of the results of their work can be found on this website which celebrates the dedication and talent of our community.

We hope you enjoy it!

The Big Chin Rub!

big chin rub

Contour Housing are planning to involve different groups across the country in one big philosophical conversation, and we will all be talking about the same subject! The question is top secret at the moment, but will be revealed to facilitators on the first day of the Big Chin Rub festival on 12th July.

You can register your interest by emailing the team with your name and details of your group, school or
organisation  and we will send you out a pack with everything you will
need to make your Big Chin Rub a huge success!

The festival takes place 12-16th July 2010 so you can hold your event any time during this week. They will be asking all groups to post their final thoughts, ideas and conclusions back here on this website.
We’ve also got a film crew covering some of the events so if youre interested you could be lucky enough to be chosen to be on the BIG CHIN RUB film!
