Charlestown

River IrwellThe areas around the Arrowhead (Rowsley Street, Beeley Street, Haddon Street) and the opposite side of Gerald Road (Blandford Road, Ventnor Street, Coniston Street, Welford Street,  Lydford Street) are characterised by large Victorian terraces.  The location close to the University of Salford makes this a popular choice for students.

The Salix Homes managed Albion Estate (known locally as the Dogtrack Estate) was built on the site of the former greyhound race track in the 1970s.

The estate borders the River Irwell with a footpath alongside the river, and there is access to Lower Broughton over a pedestrian bridge

Bureaucracy

The constitution of the EU is soviet in style. There is the Council of Ministers (European Council EC) made up of Government heads of each of the EU member nations, (the ruling clique). Then the EC European Commission with its very powerful president, who is not even elected (politburo). Next, a powerless, albeit elected European parliament (supreme soviet).

Born To Perform

Born to Perform runs on Saturdays from 9-12 for children aged 7-16. We run for an average 12 week term and use up to 3 weeks for confidence building and technique and the remaining weeks working towards a performance shown back to family and friends on week 12.

The main difference between us and other fee paying stage schools is that we are affordable, most range from £260-300 per 12 week term - ours is £120 (this amounts to just £3.33 per hour). We are also not into promising stardom. We set realistic goals and maintain that the academy is about growing and development and not becoming famous.
