Lower Kersal Centre. As well as a cafe and creche facilities the centre offers a range of learning oppurtunities in a relaxed atmosphere.

Morris Dancing at Lower Kersal Centre and St Georges

Morris Dancing Morris dancing groups held at both the Lower Kersal Centre & St Georges. Wednesday session is at the Lower Kersal Centre & it is for juniors & seniors from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Thursday session is at St Georges day centre and is for 3 - 11 year olds from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Lower Kersal Residents Association

A group of local people, who meet to discuss and take action with issues in the surrounding areas. The Association meets every other month on an undetermined night, at 6:30pm.

Literacy course at the resource centre

Literary course at Broughton resource centre. The course has usually 8-10 attendees and is led by an experienced tutor from Pendleton college. The group is often made up of newer residents to broughton and meet every wednesday and thursday at 10.00 at the Broughton resource centre on the corner of bury new road and great cheetam street opposite McDonalds.

British Chen style Tai Chi college.

British Chen style Tai Chi at the angel. This group is mostly made up of older folk and is ideal for beginners or improvers. The sessions often consist of gentle excercises and warm up. And as only standing up exercises. The group meets on a Wednesday at 2.00pm to 3.30pm at the angel healthy living centre.
