Craft Group at the broughton resource centre.

Craft group. based at the Broughton Resource Centre, a teacher supports the class and the group usually explored and makes an item based around paper craft. The group meets every friday at 10:00am till 12:00pm at the Broughton Resource Centre and is open to anyone aged over 50

Little steps parent and toddler group


Ideal for local parents with small children. The toddler group for new born and pre-school meets every Monday and Thursday from 9.00 - 11.00 at St Sebastian centre. There is a cafe for those who want breakfast or staying on for lunch at 12.00pm

Salford Allotments Information on Council Website

Taking on an allotment plot is not all hard work and has a number of
benefits. Allotment gardening provides you with the opportunity to grow
fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers for you and your family at a low
cost.

Salford has a total of 630 council-owned allotment gardens located
at 22 sites throughout the city, including four self managed sites

People's growing network

People's growing network

A network linking local residents and organistations that are interested in growing food and horticulture. Initially covering Charlestown and Lower Kersal and aiming to widen out to East Salford then Salford wide. Aims of the network: Sharing resources, skills and knowledge and growing experiences and supporting other growers. ‘People Growing Together'.

Grow Cook Eat Harvest Event

On Saturday 19th September 1-4pm at St Sebastians Community Centre.
Aim of the event is to celebrate growing achievements this year, in particular the growing in alleys, to launch the Peoples Growing Network and to encourage residents interested in growing to link up and support each other. There will be growing skills workshops, film screenings, other fun activities TBA.

Participatory Budget Event

On Tuesday the 31st August New Deal in communities held a climate change event, the primary reason for the event was to decide which group would receive funding from the NDC through the participatory budget.

 

 

 

WEEKLY DROP - IN SESSIONS - NDC and Salix Homes


Salix Homes and the NDC are pleased to announce that we will be holding weekly drop - in sessions
EVERY TUESDAY 12 until 2pm @ St.Sebastians Community Centre, Douglas Green, Charlestown
These drop - ins will give you the opportunity to meet officers from:

* East Salford Neighbourhood Management Team
* GMP
* Skills and Work Solutions

and a variety of other agencies that can provide you with help and advice on issues that may be affecting you.
