The Community reporters involved in the new mornings old streets project set up a screening of the Morning in the Streets film (1959 and then organised a chat show to get the memories of people in the audience.

The ice rink in front of the Civic Centre in Swinton has taken a lot of stick, from last year's pink offering to the costs of upkeep. Some of the more vocal Salford residents have called it a "total waste of money" and even "propaganda".

But is the criticism justified, from people who actually try it out, or is it political point-scoring and a bit of bah, humbug?

Mind in salford and the angel. On the 6th june from 6 pm till 9pm.and the venue put on a special evening. At the angel in salford. to promotet mentel helth for men.as men are moor lickly not to get help .if thay ar sufering mental ill health.

And dur to this fact. We in salford ar trying to show this needs to be highlighted to men . That if one gets help/ from ones GP early . it can make a great diferance in ones recovery. to beeing able to get one with ones normal life,

In this directory you will discover over 60 groups that run activities for themselves and others in East Salford. Within this directory which has been created by local volunteers with help from East Salford's Health Improvement team you will discover a variety of groups. Some groups just for women, some just for teenagers. Groups for people who want exercise, groups for people who want to learn new skills,groups for older residents of East Salford.

All these groups have shared information on what they do because they believe that if you join them, whether it be in making pots, learning yoga or sharing stories you will make new friends, learn new things and have fun.
