Tiny Tots (Nazarene. A playgroup for about twenty 2/3 year olds, supported by volunteers and run by qualified staff. A wide range of structured and free play opportunities on offer. Open Tuesday to Fiday from 9:30 - 12:00 at the Church of the Nazarene on Great Clowes Street. The cost per child is undetermined.

Lower Kersal Young Peoples Group (Cooking)

Cooking WIth the LKYP. About 10 local teenagers aged between 13-19 meet to enjoy some shared activities, cooking being on a Monday. The group meets at St Aidans Church on Littleton Road from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS IN LOWER KERSAL

SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS IN LOWER KERSAL: Groundwork are due to start their fifth Successful transitions course to be run in the NDC area on Thursday 14th of May. The course is for out of work adults and helps them gain confidence and motivation and access positive activities including further learning, volunteering and jobs!!!

The course runs for 12 weeks on Thursday and Friday mornings from 9.30-12.30. It will be running at the Lower Kersal Centre on Northallerton Road and there will be an on-site crèche, refreshments and travel expenses provided. Anyone completing the course will receive a £50 payment in High Street Vouchers and a guaranteed interview for a paid work placement in the work area of their choice!!

Ordsall Allotments Society

The next meeting of the Ordsall Community Allotment Society will be held at Ordsall Community Cafe at 10am on Thursday 22nd January, all are welcome.
