Screaming Green

Screaming Green was founded in 2006 by staff and students from the University of Salford's volunteering project, volunteering@salford. The project was conceived from a desire to fill the gap between theory and practice in environmental courses at the University of Salford, and to contribute to improving the environment in the city.

The group is made up of people from many places and nationalities and caters from novice and experienced percussionists. The group meets at the Angel Healthy living centre (the old eye hospital) every Thursday at 7:30pm - 9:30pm. There is a bus stop around the corner for travel access.

Born To Perform

Born to Perform runs on Saturdays from 9-12 for children aged 7-16. We run for an average 12 week term and use up to 3 weeks for confidence building and technique and the remaining weeks working towards a performance shown back to family and friends on week 12.

The main difference between us and other fee paying stage schools is that we are affordable, most range from £260-300 per 12 week term - ours is £120 (this amounts to just £3.33 per hour). We are also not into promising stardom. We set realistic goals and maintain that the academy is about growing and development and not becoming famous.
