Yes, Rudman Street in Ordsall was found to have 350 kids living in its short length, back in 1959. Of course, the local newspaper had to exaggerate. Still, it was a lot of kids, and times were hard. What can that tell us about making the most of life, in these, most recent 'hard' times? Perhap people then had a different way of looking at things.....

Charlestown Carers Group. The group meets and decides what they are going to do the week before, they often have speakers, group led activities, complementary therapies and acupuncture. The group meets at 10:00am at the energise centre till 12:00pm every Tuesday

Morris Dancing Morris dancing groups held at both the Lower Kersal Centre & St Georges. Wednesday session is at the Lower Kersal Centre & it is for juniors & seniors from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Thursday session is at St Georges day centre and is for 3 - 11 year olds from 6:00pm - 8:00pm
